Terms of Use

Version 2026-10-20. Draft for legal counsel review.

These terms apply to everyone who uses BuyerBurg: homeowners who browse or request an introduction, buyers who describe a search through an invitation, and the real estate professionals and brokerages who use the workspace.

What BuyerBurg is

BuyerBurg is a search-discovery and communication software platform. It is not a real estate brokerage, agent, multiple listing service or party to any real estate transaction. It does not represent buyers or sellers, give legal, tax or financial advice, verify property condition or guarantee that any buyer will make an offer.

BuyerBurg currently does not receive commissions or referral fees from introductions. Any compensation in a transaction is arranged separately between the parties and their own independent real estate professionals, including a buyer's existing agent, under their own agreements and applicable law.

Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity

BuyerBurg supports equal housing opportunity. Searches, buyer criteria, messages and any other content must describe properties and places, never people. You may not use the platform to search for, include, exclude, prefer, steer or limit anyone based on race, color, ancestry, national origin, religion or creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, familial or marital status, disability, age, military or veteran status, housing status, lawful source of income, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local law, including Delaware and Maryland law.

This includes indirect or proxy criteria, coded language, negative phrasing (for example, asking to avoid a group) and combinations of terms intended to achieve the same result. Accessibility and physical layout features of a property, such as step-free entry or a first-floor bedroom, are property features and are permitted.

We may reject, hold for review, edit, unpublish or remove content, and suspend access, when we believe content or use violates these terms or the law. Automated checks help, but no filter catches everything; every user remains responsible for complying with Fair Housing laws.

Acceptable use

Introductions and privacy

Browsing is anonymous and requires no account. Submissions are not anonymous: when you request an introduction, your details are shared only with the agents responsible for the buyer searches you selected, who may contact you separately. See the Privacy Notice.

AI-assisted search

Where available, search text may be interpreted by an automated assistant into property filters. Interpretations can be wrong, are not advice and never decide who can buy a home.

Disclaimers and changes

The service is provided as is. Listings of buyer interest reflect what participating professionals report and may change. We may update these terms; the version date above identifies the current text, and material changes may require renewed acceptance.
